You and Me Cards

You and Me cards by Zoomdek Publishing are ice breaker cards designed to support direct work and gather information for assessments, child protection cases and safeguarding work with children, young adults and those with learning difficulties. They can help build initial relationships. You can learn about the service user and they can learn a little about you, the practitioner, which can help them feel more comfortable about disclosing information. The 53 cards each have a question relating to what someone likes, dislikes, prioritises and prefers. Use the cards to test your hypothesis and explore theories. The 53 cards are individually numbered for your records. Simply jot down the card number being used as note taking can make some service users feel uncomfortable and disengage. The cards can be used in any way, with any number of people and over a period of time.
